The groundhog saw his shadow today in Pennsylvania. Legend has it we will have six more weeks of winter, or spring as the weather has been lately.

I just can't believe those in the yankee nation relay on rodent forecast. The South's answer if found in our own possum, Sand Mountain Sam, who saw his shadow, we think, and declared we would have six more weeks of weather.

Ken, the reason they don't have Groundhog Day in the South is cause the Rebels ate em all.

Now before you lash me, I live below the Mason-Dixon.

I shant lash you, we still enjoy possums, as a matter of fact, the Southern seven course dinner is a possum and a six pack.

I'll take six more weeks of what we are having.

And along the gulf coast, where there are armadillos, they're referred to as possum on the half shell...
