I parked the B and have been using my wife's MGF, no leaks :)
At least the rainwater tank is full now!
Full tanks and dams, green lush grass and healthy unstressed trees=heaven on earth!

Oh I'd love to be there right now -- I wish so for Spring here :)
Hang on just a bit more, Naomi! Spring is almost here. Or come down to the NO show coming up and get a taste. It will be in full bloom then. BTW, willow trees are budding out right now here. Azaleas are starting to bloom......

How many clear sunny days do y'all get? I honestly do not see how anyone can live without beautiful sunny days. Sometimes we may go for weeks without a raincloud in sight. Nothing but wonderful warm, clear days. Almost perfect ragtop weather
Gerry the word i would use to descibe English weather is 'dull'
Obviously we get sunny days sometimes but we generally get alot of rain and grey cloudy days.
I spent a month in Los Angeles in October and I couldnt believe the weather, it was just sunny and warm everyday, freaked me out
I find it hard to understand how a country that has so much gray weather could have even had the desire to make so many wonderful convertible cars. Here in the US where in general weather is so much more pleasant, we have a history of making very few convertibles to enjoy it.
Are but we are a hardy lot over here Gerry.
Even golfers play in the rain and some of them even play in the snow they just use orange ball's so they can find them. Now that's hard to understand !!!

I question the sanity of golfers, anyway. Golf would be a whole lot more fun if you had to move the ball with a 45ACP bullet in my view!
Looking out the window at the MG in the carport with the old starter out and the new gear reduction one on the desk here. High winds, heavy rains, severe weather alert today. The Sprite is taking up the shop space.
Oh well. Coat, boots & go for it. Lots of coffee. Can't complain, we need the rain.
Signed up for the Snowball rally in April and I need to take a few stormy drives to be prepared, check for leaks, etc.

You're a better man the me. I quit working on non-essentials in undesirable weather. Just ain't worth the pain and aggravation any more
Funny, we find it a novelty to play gold on that green grass stuff!

Out here in western Oregon we have a saying - if you wait for the rain to stop before you get anything done, you aren't going to get much done!
Our weather is a lot like the UK - not sunny and warm like some places. On the other hand, no tornados, no hurricanes, no tsunamis, low humidity in the summer, no leaches, water moccasins, coral snakes, etcetera. Strangely we do have occasional volcanos...

Talk about beign freaked out...couple of years ago in Sept. spent a week on a narrowboat on the Oford Canal. All 6 of us got sunburned some place. Rained once one night.
SNow Snow and more snow. Come April the MG might roll out of the back yard again.
Believe it or not but sunshine every day for months can get boring, too. It's better when the weather changes a little, a few clouds, some showers, then a few sunny days . . . some cooling, some heating.
English weather can be too grey and cold for too long, but when it is sunny it's gorgeous--blue skies, white clouds. Oregon and Washington State get too much rain for me that it reminds me of England. It always seems to be drizzling.
Much of Canada gets seriously Arctic winters -- just like upstate New York and New England, so you're stuck indoors for four or five months. But spring, summer and fall can be gorgeous.
Down South I find the humidity too stifling. Summer in Florida is like a sauna. The reason for front porches and rocking chairs, I suppose.
California weather is great, but it can also get too blazing hot months, and I hate heat--and no "leaf season" or springtime to speak of, just warming up.
I lived in the Northeast for 25 years and the long winters got tiring, but I loved the seasons and the variable weather. California has: cool, warm, warmer, and hot. No "real" seasons at all. We're having rain lately, though, and now I miss the sunshine. So we all want what we don't have, I guess. Best choice is the Northeast or Upper South in the spring through fall, then fly to California for the winters. When I'm rich. Hah.

I find sitting in the drivers seat and making vroom vroom noises helps lessen the withdrawals :)
Ah, the weather - Britains favourite topic!
I spent yesterday washing our cars - first time for ages, and the neighbours were out as well as it was sunny and "warm" (7C) - felt like we had all just come out of hibernation. The B is in the garage though as I am renovating the heater so Jayne can drive it all through the "summer"!!

no such problems in the GT. I was out and about both days taking the boys to soccer gradings. They made Max run around in the rain even though his age group is not competitive.
Go Figure!
Henryk, How about coming down to our Large Scale R/C Rally at Dick Smith's Gundaroo property 'Bowylie'.
It's on the 4th & 5th of April. We will have a 100 odd pilots and nearly 200 scale model aeroplanes. Gundaroo is between Goulburn and Canberra. It's a great weekend and the boys would love it.
