Any Californians see a Red Gt running around up near Ft Bragg,Ca.? My sister in-law sold a nice GT to someone up there off Ebay a year or so ago. Not sure if they're a member of the board or not.

Sam,

There's no "running around Ft. Bragg."

That place is so far off the map. You're either heading to Ft, Bragg or you're not.

I have one account in that town. I've yet to see a red GT out there, but I'll look closer ext time I'm up there. Great area if you want peace and quiet in California and you've got the $$$$$$$.

The roads up there are amazing.

Thanks Andy. It was on eby but she lives in the bay area. My brother restored it up nice and then he passed away. That's how i got my 66, he didn't get it finished. :( That GT was nice and i wish i wold have purchased it also. It was very nice, i think i went for under 6K. Whoever has it got a great deal.

Fort Bragg is on the Pacific Ocean, very remote, at the end of the road from the south (there is no road north) and end of the road from the east (you need a kyack or something to go west).

It's well out of the way.

Ft. Bragg was one of our stops on my honeymoon. We stayed the night and headed over to Tahoe in 1981. Saw a lot of logging trucks and big redwood logs. It was quite an upgrade from the accomodations of the previous night. We had lunch in Salsalito and drove north trying to find a cheaper motel. About midnight we finally
found a state park to camp at. We slept in the back of my Ranchero ( We didnt really sleep that much) . The drive from Ft. Bragg to Tahoe was very nice too. I dont remember Ft. Bragg being an expensive area, but that was along time ago. We'll have to do that drive again now that the GT is rebuilt.

Hey Mac-there is a road north out of Ft Bragg and it brings you to what we who live here consider to be No Ca by way of Laytonville and 101 :) It is the indeed the very last stretch of Route 1 and is a great drive in an mg.

Andy, how far north are your accounts?

Paul,

I cover all of California, Arizona, Nevada, and Hawaii.

Mt. Shasta and Eureka/Arcata are about as far north as I get in CA.

The road north out of Ft. Bragg really is undiscovered country as far as California goes. A whole lot of nothing going on out there.

I've headed down some of the obscure roads in that area. It puts Deliverance to shame.

Yes Andy, there are very remote roads around here I have not ventured on with the B.
I have lived in No Ca for 25 years and not gotten to Shasta. Life happens.

Andy, I too, have roamed the obscure roads West of Ft. Bragg when I was a sales rep. Not much activity on some of those roads except for agricutureal entreprenuers.

Great roads for a B, however. Alas, I did most of that travel in a F-150.

Mike,

"Agricultural Entrepreneurs", that's funny and very true. It's still a way of life for many up there.
