This engine was originally designed for, and also comes in, the 1989-90 Nissan pick up trucks. These truck KA24E's also have a rear sump on the pan which is necessary for installation into the "B" engine compartment. This stays in line with the MG because I believe the lumps were originally designed to be a truck motor. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Well, if you are going to cross the line, no sense hanging around in close proximity to it. Let us know how that turns out. There was a B with a BMW engine in it at the ABFM 2 years ago.

Chris, you thinking about crossing line?

Chris,. the only lines I'll be crossing will be those yellow ones painted down the middle of the street, on my way to the passing lane. If the tweed hat traditionalists take issue they will be happy to note the entire swap is reversible and I'm keeping her original engine as well. It just wont be in the car, thats all. In the hazardous urban driving environment my GT is exposed to, the ability to dodge the over abundance of unskilled motorist's here is not optional. I need more horse power and I need to get it for a reasonable price. Ponies are to pricey with the lump. You have to sink a pretty penny into one just to get a modest increase. The swap remains the most cost efficient way to add substantial power.
