When attempting to remove the lower passenger side rebound strap nut from the stud, the nut suddenly popped off, with part of the stud. I had soaked the nut in liquid wrench, and I thought it was turning. What can I do now? Is there any way to replace the part with the stud, short of buying an entire rear suspension assembly? I don't think Moss sells a replacement part, even though I think this is a common problem.
Thanks!

Check Moss's lateest catalog. I think that strap mounts are a new item they just added.
If enough of the remaining stud is sticking out, install the strap, drill a small hole through the end of the stud, put a washer over the stud and a cotter pin through the hole. Someone on this forum told me about this method. Worked perfectly for me.
I had one where there was zero thread left.
so I put the strap on then used a couple heavy duty zip ties to lash the strap to (whatever it was, can't recall now) something that would keep the lower loop on and not let it walk away. Worked well for 6 years until I replaced the rear end. these things don't really get any sideways movement--at least not with my panhard bar setup, which could be considered a special case.
Page 139 of the current Victoria British catalog has a lower mounting repair kit "A" part number 6-368 for $5.95. Is this the part necessary to replace the mount, with the washers and nut available from the catalog? Is there a Moss equivalent?

Mark, that looks like what you need. Moss would probably cost me anyway
Mark, I just bought a pair of grade 5 bolts, the smae diameter as the welded in stud. Cut it to length, and you have a pair of replacements for under $1, with no shipping costs. And to boot, the nut is much larger and you can't break the stud anymore! It requires cutting the old unit off and welding the new one on though. With that said, there's no reason you can't use a cotter pin to keep the strap in place. There's never a side load on these straps - and if there was, you'd better hold on tight!
