Long ago I wiped all the paint off the number plate that fits to the dash apron. I didn't want to buy a new one as this one has character. I think the bloke who stamped it was drunk as its all over the place.

Since the windshield never made it on Friday I might as well do as I've threatened and mask it off and paint it. Can some insane member measure the "window" dimensions of the stamped area so I can make a mask and paint the rest black.

If I get really insane I'll press type the words. Hopefully the glass shop will be back before that....

0.265 X 2.50 with "CAR NO." in bare metal as well. My numbers are all over the place too. It's a 1971 BGT. If you need a picture, I might be able to clean the windshield up enough to take a picture from outside

Thanks Gerry!! That should do it. I can reference the Moss illustration and eyeball the window placement.

Mine's a '71 too. I guess the person who did it was drinking a lot that year. :)

Maybe that day! What is the build date on yours? 11/70 here

7/71. It would have been hilarious had it been the same exact day!

Working on LBCs and blacksmithing have gotten to be about the only two occupations one can have and still drink a few. The world has gotten very strange lately, and the terrorists aren't the scary part.
