I am fortunate enough to have an old time shoe repair gentleman in town. In the past, he has fixed saddle bags for my bike. I just picked up my convertible top from repair work and he did another great job.
He sewed a few patches on some small holes, reinforced and repaired the two rips at the base of the rear window on each side, repaired the long loop that goes around the window bar with a velcro strip and reattached with rivets the slide points that are attached at the door area. Nice solid fit once again, $100.00.
I had suggested here in the past if you have someone in town like that to give it a try.
I like solving problems on the MG by alternative routes and not just going to a catalog or a traditional place to get things done. Makes it fun and more interesting.

I Agree. I think it is usually alot better that way, especially with something like a hood. I Think alot of products from VB and Moss are way over-priced. There are alot of things that they have, that you just can't get anywhere else though.
peace, Kyle
Also just got back from meeting Ed Sweeney at Motorcar Garage in Maple Shade NJ. Thought I would take a ride and meet them down there. He was parting out a 77B and had items listed on Trader. They put a lot of stuff on EBay also he said. Just want to report they seem to be great guys and reasonable and fair in pricing their items if you happen to need something from them. I picked up a nice vent window and a couple of seats. I think his name on the board is FTD in a MGB.
