I have a Rover 3.5L V8 engine for sale, removed by me from a 80's auto SD1 that was residing in my fathers salvage yard due to MOT failure. High compression 9.35:1 so true 150 bhp. Shipped it over to USA in 1991 as a upgrade for my 1980 TR8, now sold due to arrival of young ones! Stag took its place and still resides in my garage.
Engine has 35 lbs oil pressure when cranking on stand. Heads removed to check bores, etc and they are fine with honing marks. Valves are sticking so heads would need rebuild. Camshaft looks worn so would recommend completed rebuild. Not sure of mileage of donor car. Complete with starter, auto flywheel, intake (for strombergs or SU), twin outlet cast exhaust manifolds and distributor.
Clearing out garage so need of the room.
Also have 3.5L intake with SU's from P5 or P6, standard crank and rod bearings, ignition leads and Rover valve cover gaskets available separately for sale.
$380 if collected or $405 if strapped to open pallet ready for truck shipment.
