I'm thinking that if my B engine in my 73 is toast or has a cracked head or whatever that I will probably be looking at a Rover /215 transplant.
Does anyone know what these go for, what years are the best, can you use a Discovery engine, etc. etc. also what transmission works with the Rover V-8?
TIA
Scott

There are lots of folks with better info than me on the BOPR motors, but I did see this the other day... http://austin.craigslist.org/car/419474757.html. I sent the owner a note out of curiosity & he replied that while he prefers to sell both the car & the motor, he'd consider selling just the motor. I go to Austin fairly regularly, let me know at my email (in my profile) if you want me to go look at it for you next time I'm there.

hop over to the MGB V6 & V8 forum.
A GM v6 seems to be a more popular conversion on this side of the river.
