I wish i had spent more time working on the car over the summer so i could be out driving it now in this beautiful weather, but I was told i needed to get my priorities in order and the house comes first, so I got my new bathroom and new dining room floor, the kitchen can wait til next summer, the winter belongs to the B

Great looking stuff there. I can totally feel where you are coming from except I am the one telling myself to everything in order. We took my kitchen out 3 months ago and had to go all the way to the floor joists and start from there for the new floor. In between this and that we have been working on hubby's corvette to get it on the road and doing things with my B :).

Keep up the good work.

Nice work! Do you have any wood left over to do the floors on the B as well?

Put it on the outside of your GT Rusty. Woody wagon style. I know you want to.

If the workmanship on the B is as good as the workmanship on the house you will have a nice looking car... AND house.

Oh.. and please put that cover plate back on the outlet on the back wall.... and make sure it is on the right way up :) LOL

Hey that looks pretty good.

We are thinking about doing a floor too.

How hard is it to install? Did you do it yourself??

A woody GT....hmmmmm!
.
Dont feel bad... I disassembled a Spridget in 1989 (I think) for a ground-up resto. The body was finished around two years later, to concours quality by a shop that sends cars to Pebble Beach.
.
The engine went to a specialist, who told me some years and $1000 later that the block and head were cracked, and NG.
.
So I found a Swiftune 1380cc and Rivergate 5 speed for it, and they've sat around so long the engine probably needs freshening.... they're in my SUV, ready for a trip to Hap's.
.
Now Tom Cotter tells me he wants it all finished to show at Amelia Island in March.
.
I'm gonna try and start reassembling it as soon as I get caught up on the honey-do list.

Hey, yes, i did floor myself, this is Brazilian Cherry, it was unfinished which added to the labor of the floor, it was relatively simple to install, as it is basically a tongue in groove setup, i did however have to make sure the subfloor was level, but once i got that taken care of, the floor itself went down in an afternoon. I was able to sand it the following day, then start on the sealing, all in all it took 3 days to do and is well worth it, especially being as i got the wood for free from work (yes i work in construction, but luckily its custom home construction)
Oh and Pete, the outlet covers are off as i had just got done painting the wainscoting and will be changing outlets to brown to make them disappear .

Mike, what's a honey-do-list? Is that a list of things you tell yourself you need to do in spite of what the wife wants you to do? :D

The back part of the GT interior would look pretty cool in wood flooring!

Looks Really nice Darren...My wife has been after me to get rid of the carpet and go for the hardwood...allready put laminate in the kitchen area.

Guess your wife wouldn't go for a MGB emblem embossed into that nice hardwood. lol
