I ran across this radio for a great price and it works great.. problem is the faceplate is too small for the MGAs opening. Does anyone have a source for vintage car radio shops that might have a faceplate or two lying around? Here is the radio.. the radio's dimensions are:
The critical dimentions of the faceplate would be 7 3/8 x 2 3/8 the distance between the shafts are 5 3/16 the face plate opening for the dial face is 3 5/8 x 1 1/2 .

Just go to your local sheet metal shop, get them to cut you a plate the size/shape of the dash recess with holes for the volume and station controls and a rectangle for the dial. Use something like 16 or 14 gauge stainless.
David, have you checked to see if you modify the radio blanking plate for use as a faceplate?
David,
I measured what we have - they would fit the knob and face dimensions but won't cover your dash aperture.
Jack and Wray, thanks for the replies, I guess I will hack up the blanking plate..I got the same replies on the green board. I am not real skilled at this, more of a sledge hammer and vice grip artist.
Ed, thanks for checking for me, that is the same problem as the faceplate that came with it, does not fit the dash opening..
Wyatt.. the plate that came with it does not fit very well into the chrome surround, does not look right.
