I'm getting ready to convert my '74 GT from steels to wires because I just think wires look proper on LBC's. However, if I were going to stay with the bolt on wheel setup I'd be very tempted by these wheels as I think they're beautiful. They're certainly not common either. Just in case anyone's interested here they are:

Although I'm not a big fan of most aftermarket wheels..... I will say that "those" are wonderful.. I wonder who makes them? I agree Shawn....Those wheels look awesome!!
I like them, but I might be a little biased. Those are almost identical to my wheels.
That's what I thought too Norm! I DO love your wheels as you know.
Shawn
They do look like your wheels Norm, by the way I drooled on your car in Mint Hill, looks great!
Hmm, pretty good but I just can't see BBS RX on an MGB... I guess I'm just used to seeing them on German cars :D

They look a heck of a lot better then these:

I Double dare ya!!!
You shore got that right Paul! Those are just butt ugly even if you have a red B. Skye, are they the same wheels? Wonder how he did the MG center caps?

Pay for them and the new tires and I'll drive it to MG 2008 like that.
Or you can just send me some sort of wheels like oh, I don't know, how about some Cosmics, and I'll see if I can further embarass myself by putting those hideous things on my car.
Nah probably replicas, the BBS "tuning fork" style has been ripped off for a long time.
Red minilites... why would you do that?
TSW made some rims almost identical, which the MGOC sold with MG logos on the center caps for some time. Jerry Harrington (on this site) has a set. The ones on eBay look like some that were sold at Pep Boys for like $80 each called Proline wheels, which are NLA. Someone has modified them to add the MG center caps like I did on mine.
Those red minilites are definately, um, unique!
They look like either BBS or TSW Hockenheim, but I don't think they are.
The red minilites would look great on a white or black race car.
Man, those mags would look slick on my GT... Anyone want to contribute to the "Rusty Needs New Wheels Foundation?"
Look to me like there is too much offset. Bolt spacing may be correct, but that doesn't mean the wheels are correct.
Incorrect offset can cause steering problems and excessive bearing wear.
Jim Hall of Five SPeed Conversion in Florida had a set of four of hese rims for sale in Grand Rapids. They are indeed sharp.
Below are rims that I have for my '78 MGB and my '74.5 MGB/GT.
They are both 15" with a +38 offset.
Rusty, you just need to sell a lot more axle straps! :D
Shawn
I looked for a set of the TSW Hockenheim R wheel's and could only find that they no longer make those any longer. I do remember seeing some similiar wheels on a few of the sites from England. They have a cool variety of them for the B, I always wondered why they really never seemed to make it here.
I think the red minilites would look rather natty on James' yellow B!

Has 'Minilite' become an accepted generic term like Xerox has for copy?
Otherwise, those wheels are clearly not made by Minilite, they were made by Panasport or Watanabe (he doesn't seem sure), according to the listing.
I wouldn't worry about the garrish colour - doesn't anyone (in their right mind, that is) strip old alloy wheels and dye test them before using them? If not, you are crazy, as they can be structurally compromised under the paint.
And if you strip them, you can repaint them any colour you like - a nice demure silver or gold, perhaps.

They would match my taillights perfectly, so I have no idea what you are talking about. You obviously don't have any color sense or taste...

Didn't Imas say Natty?

As long as you put on your best Vanna dress Rick....
i'd prefer the steels. As far as alloys go, I did see a GT with 15" Minilite replicas and lowered suspension that looked really good a few years ago. Wires are always a good choice too.
