Its been a long haul that started about a year ago with a flying fan blade that wrecked only my radiator. Ok, I thought, I need a new radiator, so while I am at it, I will remove the head and have it checked as there has been evidence of it being cracked. Ok, that will be a good time to rebuild and install the overdrive in my parts car. Ok, while the engine is out, I might as well replace the brake lines, and rebuild the clutch master as there seems to be a little fluid leak there. OK, as long as I am at it, I will remove the heater and all the rest of the stuff in the engine bay, paint it and get it looking spiffy. OK, might as well check out the wiring and re bundle it properly as there are still unused wires around from when the car had a generator and voltage regulator. Yeah I think a new emergency brake cable is in order as I can't seem to get the brake on tight enough.
At long last, today, I turned my ratchet from loosen to tighten and tightened my first nut on a clamp for the new emergency brake cable. From here on in it should stay in that mode as I am at last in the reassembly phase.
Just wanted to share that as it feels so good.

That's a good feeling when you can flip that lever on the ratchet to dirve, rather than remove!
Congrats!

That and the smell of new paint are the two greatest things for me in a resto.

I,m finally in that mode on the TR. Just be prepared to flip the rachet the other way when you discover something else needed to go on before the last piece you just installed. I swear when I put the B together I did everything 3 times.
