Mud chains, maybe?

The DPO used my mg for mudding before I bought it. I don't know about chains but I still have the all-terrain tires on it.
Hey "B" GT's make wonderful cars to take to the slopes for some skiing.. strap your ski's on top and away ya go...... they handle those mtn roads and are great fun ........ So yes... i can understand some emergancy chains in a GT..... especially if the former owner was a skier....
The filthy tire says something, perhaps about the chains. I tried cable chains for one winter after I had put my GT back on the road. Since then, I've switched to studded snows and only in the worst of snow/ice have the chains been of any greater benefit than the studded tires.
One thing I have noticed with our cars that have used regular chains is that unless you use the tensioners with them, they can flop around and do a job on the lip of the rear fenders sometimes. Sizing the chains, cable or regular is much more important than on most American and other cars (the clearances are smaller) and not everyone I've known here who has used chains has taken that into consideration. However, most folks put their cars away in winter, so no big deal.
