Interesting place for a gauge.

It passes the time. Cool idea. I put one of those little plastic cups for change and stuff in that spot. So far, it carries a lot of lint and dust and stuff. I think this works better than mine. :)

What baffles me is that I wired the light into the dash light wiring and it's brighter than the other gauges....no dimmer switch involved on any of them...using the same bulbs as the others.............?

It's a $15.00 enhancement....

i was wondering were to put that nice idea what did you use for mounting and is it able to be put back to stock?

Yup. I removed the ash tray, wrapped a piece of foam rubber that I kinda cut to size in black vinyl with a hole for the gauge...then wired everything under the console...lights to the dash light wires, voltage to the radio wire and gently pushed and tucked everything into the opening.

Bought those green led bulbs for all of the gauges although I'll be damned if I can get the original one out of the oil pressure gauge! I may have to pull the whole thing out and use pliers!

I like it! In keeping with my 'rally car' theme, I put a clock and an old analog stopwatch on my glove box lid with two sided sticky tape. No pic at the moment, but trust me - I think it looks kinda cool.

Want to pass that ash tray along? Been a long time since I smoked, but I'd love to have one like in my old 63 B. Sunpro is the brand of extra gauges my PO left too. Not all that handsome, but functional.

Looks like your voltage is really low :)

Not to be a critic but I would've preferred a Smiths volmeter there! Looks good though! :D

It's that bright bulb. It's sucking the battery dry.

Hey Larry...come by and pick up the ash tray...you can't be more than a half hour down the road!
