Spline Tube Axle Length

Hi All.

Just wondering if there are any differences over the years and roadster/GT/MGC configurations in the length of the splined drive tube axle. I rummaged around a MG wrecking yard yesterday and there were a number of axles, but a couple differed in length by 1/2" or so when measuring inside drum to inside drum.

I can't speak to MGCs, but for Bs note that the wire wheel axle housings are narrower than the disc/steel wheel housings. And this is true for the earlier banjo axle housings as well as the later tube-type axle housings.
