Spring Wake-up

I could have sworn there was a post or article on steps for getting started in the Spring but I can't find it. Anyone know where such an article is hiding?

My car sits nearly all Winter. My procedure is to turn the ignition key as far as it will go.

That checklist is way too extensive for recovering from a simple winter hibernation. That checklist is for the "ran when parked", "ignored for years", "recently acquired from DPO". If you put the car away properly for the winter (see Twist list at University Motors) you should only need to do what JDW (and fordgt) said.

Sometimes I throw the battery charger on it for a couple of hours before I start it. You know, just to top it up.

If you've read this far, you should by now be getting the idea that the MGB is a pretty hearty critter! I won't go so far as to say it thrives on abuse and/or neglect........but I'm sure you get the idea. It's a machine that really doesn't HAVE to be babied. At least, that's my take...... :eyeroll:

You know what's great about this list (one thing at least), it includes everyone from checking the last little detail to just diving into a problem. Sounds like I'll just check the basics and fire it up.
