Hi Everyone,
Bump to the top for a spring sale.
I'm selling my 79 B 118,xxx miles. Reason: I got another toy and am not allowed two in the garage.

I bought this B in the Spring of 2004 and finished fixing it up in the Spring of 2007.

The Good:

Lowered to chrome bumper height using Brittek's front springs/rear blocks. Car runs and handles great, no clutch slippage, transmission shifts smoothly, Weber carb, no smoke, no rust, no accidents. Maintains proper oil pressure at all engine speeds. All electricals work. I have cleaned, refurbished and replaced much on this car; I have receipts for pretty much everything.

Here is a list of the new items-all with less than 200 miles on them.

Exterior/Body: Convertible Top, Paint is 6 months old, Chrome, Mirrors, Windshield seal, Rear MG-logo splash guards, Front spoiler, Front hood, Both doors (replaced with rust-free used doors), Chrome MG-logo lugnuts, New splash guards inside both front fenders

Interior: New Floors, Fully insulated floors and tranny tunnel. New carpet throughout from VB. New MOMO pedals.

Suspension/Handling/Braking: 4 Falken Ziex ZE512 185/65 R14 tires, Brittek front/rear lowering kit, including uprated lowering springs in front, spacer blocks in rear, New rear leaf springs, New kingpins, Wheel bearings, Polyurethane bushings all around, Brake master cylinder, Vacuum assist unit, New rotors/pads/lines, New rear shoes/components.

Engine/Electrical: Fuel pump, Converted to electrical ignition (Crane Fireball XR700 and Crane Fireball Coil), New rotor, Spark plug wires, Alternator, all wiring (for lights), Fuse box, Relays, Valve cover, Thermostat. Valves adjusted. Weber Carb rebuilt with genuine Weber rebuild kit.

The Bad:
Speedo stopped working about 100 miles ago-most likely a loose cable. Exhaust is fine, however if I were keeping this car I would replace it with the Peco system. There is a small, half-dollar sized dent near the jacking mount. Missing driver side sun visor.

Additions: 5 Books go with the car: Bentley and Haynes Manual, Williams' MGB Problems and how to fix them, An MGB restoration guide book and a book on Weber carb rebuild and upgrades.

All of this work was only possible with the huge amount of advice I received from this board. During the rebuild I tried as much as possible to prevent being called a DPO.

I have many other photos before and after for anyone interested.

Asking $4900.
