Bhive is having a sale on these. I did a search but couldn't find anything here in the archives.

I wondered if this will result in the same gain as when I went to Stainless steel braided brake hoses. I understand there isn't the constant pressure like brakes.

Anyone have any experience with them?

I have always used the s/s clutch hoses as replacement. Never had one fail.

Did you notice any benefit?

I haven't ever had the standard reinforced rubber clutch hose fail. The maximum pressure on the clutch hose is set by the springs in the clutch plate, so the hydraulic pressure is somewhat limited. Different then the brake circuit in which the hydraulic pressure is limited by how hard you can press the brake pedal in a properly bled brake system.

Than said I got a stainless hose for my clutch system a long time ago and will use it when I replace the slave cylinder next year.

No benefit in pedal feel or clutch operation, the up side is that it won't ever cause you any problems unlike the original lines and it looks cool and racy as well. ;)

Thanks everyone. The hose right now is pretty new. If there's no benefit like pushing the pin just a little bit further out then I'll just wait until the hose in there needs changing.

I did but I wondered if anyone had any experience actually owning and installing one. Kind of like you talking about how powerful you SC engine is but don't actually have it. :hot:

Because the engine is not yet on the road doesn't change the dyno results. Someone asked, I answered.

By the way, I do have a braided clutch hose.

You've never even seen your engine. How do you know they're not fibbing? :bouncing:

Just teasing you Steve. I didn't remember you saying you had a braided clutch hose.

Never seen it? :S I buy stainless-sleeved hoses when they're going under the car, just for damage protection. Probably overkill but they don't cost much more.
