My internship has arrived! BenefitFocus.com in Greenville is giving me a three month, 40 a week internship where al I have to do is write scripts to crash their servers. Fat paychecks will soon follow. (Un)Fortunately I didn't get the position in Charleston, however this means that I get to commute from my house where the MG is! I've already called my dad and told him to get the car ready and in the garage as soon as I get back home. So I get a summer job that pays more than my mom(!), don't have to pay rent, and play with the car in the afternoons and weekends! Cookies for everyone!
Also, I've found a completely trashed '92 Camaro in a local junkyard. The rear end disappeared afer a wreck, but the engine+tranny is untouched. I get to drag the thing back to my house for a grand total of maybe $300 if no one else called shotgun on it yet. And since I'm an official SAE member now, I have unrestricted access to the Clemson machine shop where we built our fancy Baja vehicle (as shown in the Off Topic thread). So all the metal, aluminum, and tools I need will be at my disposal.
Since I am obviously not studying for my finals coming up in a week or two, I wanted to know what plans do you guys have for the summer with your MG (assuming you can actually enjoy summer). I've got mine figured out, and assuming I don't deviate fom the plan too far, I'd expect the car back on the road before school starts again.
Summer plans, got any?

Sounds like a great find on the Camaro. Do I sense a V6 conversion in your plans?
This is going to be a GREAT summer!! And a great fall and winter! Four months ago I left my career of 39 years and started my on online business and now work from home instead of being away at work 10 - 12 hours a day. Before I hardly ever drove the MG to work because I didn't want it to sit in a hot, dusty parking lot all day under the blazing Florida summer sun. Now, however, when I run errands or feel like just getting out for a bit, I take the MG out for an hour or so. Nothing like a drive along the beach on A1A in the middle of the day with no traffic to completely forget about things for a while! I guess now the car is a "daily driver"! Yessir, it's going to be one GREAT summer!!

Oh yes; I'm moving on up to American Iron. My car har passed the point from being the "British" car to being the "fun" car.
Let's see, moving to a new home, changing jobs (not careers) I've accepted a new teaching position at a brand new high school as the television/broadcasting instructor as well as being the announcer for the football and basketball teams, a family vacation for a couple of weeks in Wisconsin's Door County, a trip to Boston for training on Avid editing/computer/server equipment, followed by training for new teachers to system, changing diapers on the two month old, and maybe getting in some time with the B. Hope to take it over to Rome, GA, for the British Car Day event. And then in July ....
