Tach and fuel gauge went out at exactly the same time. Presumably voltage stabilizer, before I order one, is there anything else it could be? thanks. B.

Barrie - It is not the voltage stabilizer, the tach doesn't get its power through the stabilizer. The problem is more likely the fuse for the green circuit or a pore connection at one of the bullet connectors.

Check the 3rd fuse down in your fuse box. Tach isn't controlled by the VS. Temp gauge is but if the engine's cold, you won't know it's out.
I had this happen a while back on my car. 3rd fuse contacts were dirty. Cleaned them and no further issues.

Took your advice cleaned the third fuse connectors. Also, the ground on the ignition relay was suspect, changed it. Seems to be fine now. Thanks Guys. I think I will order a new fuse box all the same, it doesnt look that great. B.
