I remember a post here a while back about the writer taking his elderly mother out for a ride in the MG. My parents were visiting for the weekend and I took my Dad (early 70s) out to the Wings & Wheels show in Topping, Virginia. We caravaned out there and back with a group of LBCs and a 1937 Cord. A friend took this photo from the back of the Cord on the way home. Great day for all with the old boats, biplanes, and a couple of hundred old cars including many British and European.

I'm betting the picture of you and your Dad is already considered a treasure by you. Thanks for sharing and it is a great picture :)
My dad gave me the B in '99 when he decided to get rid of it after having it in the garage for 10 years stripped to the shell. I was really glad to have it back together for him to be able to take it out for a drive when I finally "finished" it last year.
Wow another treasure picture. I sure would have love having a picture of my Dad in one of my MGBs with me :)
At Watkins Glen a few weeks ago I (77 years old and still kicking only not quite as high) let my youngest son (49) drive my B around the old course and he was amazed as to how much get up and go the car had. He could not believe the tourque in 4th gear. I took him around as a passenger first to show him where the down shifting and braking should occor and we had a ball. Of course his son (15 years old) was a little put out because he hadn't been around that course this year so I did the next lap with him. He has been around both the old course and the new tradck with me in the B and can't wait until he is old wenough to drive (legally).
That's what fun is all about. Three generations at the Glen having a ball.
George
