Well after 14 years of restoration (started in 1995) and 2 months of travelling from Voves, France to Bloomfield, MI, the MGB has made it just before snow (and salt on the roads). It was delivered this morning and true to its heritage it did not start (dead battery and -8C). I bought this car in Vermont in 1995 when I was studying. It had (and still has) a Florida Title. Brought the car back to France where I lived and started immediate restoration (see album). I was living in Paris at the time so the car was left in a storage place in the country side right by where my parents lived. With the family growing and the distance I was lucky if I got to the car once a month and usually it was from 7:00pm to 2:00am on Saturday evening (my version of fun). In the mean time I was transferred for work from Paris to Detroit 5 years ago (that did not speed up the restoration process) and managed to finish the restoration this summer on my vacation time.
The funny thing is that although I have owned this car for 14 year I have barely driven it and the car has done more miles crossing the atlantic than actual driving (since it was built in England this car has a total of three crossings). I am sure next summer will be DRIVING TIME.

congrats! now the real fun begins. (don't forget, or be surprised, that there is a "sorting out" period to deal with once you start driving her.) OldBloke there are some pictures. look for the highlighted text in his original post--there are hidden doors to photos.
