The view from here. Picture from the 14th floor.

Although working gets in the way of doing the stuff you like, I realize every now and then that I'm
fortunate to have a decent paying job.

This is a view from the 14th floor of my building (not my office though).

It was a couple of weeks ago after all the colour was gone but it still looks pretty good. I'll have to
remember to do a Spring, Summer and Fall one next year.

It is facing North, the river is the Ottawa River and it is the border between Ontario and Quebec (for
the benefit of the folks that don't know the area.

Does that thar river freeze over in the winter so you can drive your B on it ;)

It doesn't completely freeze at this point. There's a rapids a little bit up stream that keeps it moving
a bit too fast to freeze solidly in the middle.

NO way I'd drive the B on it. :-)

Although they used to hold ice races on Dow's Lake, part of the Rideau Canal, years ago.

Bill, I've seen those young ladies in your avatar (other photos) before - your daughters? Your favorite all-girl band? :)

Julian, those are my step daughters.

I have that picture up in my office and get several comments about it.
Some have asked if it is the latest 'girl band'. :-)

Others open their mouths too soon and turn several shades after I tell them
who it is.

I haven't had to shoot anyone yet. :-)
