I'm reassembling a late '74 1275. Just got it back from the spray booth and it has resurrected my passion for the restoration project after ten years' inactivity which included two years of cancer recovery. I'm healthy now and pumped with enthusiasm. The car looks great. I'm having trouble finding a tire shop that can find the recommended 165-70-13 size replacement tires in my area of Sturgeon Bay, WI (54235). Any suggestions?
Thanks,...............Steve B.

Did you try www.tirerack.com ? That's where I've been finding mine for the past several years.
I got a full set of Sincera SN828 175/70r13s at Discount Tires for under $350. Try any local tire shop as most will be more than willing to order if no stock is available.

I was able to order mine through the local Firestone. I think I paid about $60 each plus mounting and balancing. Not sure if you have one in your area. On the other hand, you could probably find 155/80 more easily and cheaper, if you wanted to go with that size. I recently saw 155/80 at Wal-Mart for about $40-ish. I see tire rack offers a Bridgestone in 165/65....
Hi Steven,
I have a complete set mounted on proper wheels .These were bead blasted and painted black. The silver area would need paint to be proper resto pieces.Tires from fleet/farm roadrunner.I live in Wi and could maybe work out something.
Pm me if interested.Tires look brand new.
the tire factory in our area as 4 or 5 choices, so I can only imagine that if you do a little web surfing for independent tire stores in your area, that you will find something.
Typically the tire that stars in the advertisements as "four for $150!!!" is a 155/80R-13. Perfect for our Midgets and dead-common.
If you must have the 165/70R-13 Sumitomo makes a nice one. Betcha most shops can order it.
Joe,
Thanks agaain for your reply regarding tires. As we talked at the Swap Meet, I did find a set of 165/70R-13 Sumitomos, mounted and balanced at $75 each.
I have sent you a seperate email with used parts request as we talked about in Wheaton.
Regards,........Steve
