www.treadepot.com (read: tread depot)

I was pointed to this site today by a friend who knew I was looking for tires for my daily driver truck. He picked up 4 tires for his wife's SUV at a large discount. Most places I checked were the same in price around $225-$240 per tire, plus $10-$15 to install, balance etc... I found the same, Goodyear, Wrangler AT/S (275/65/R18) for $139 plus shipping, which is roughly $25 per tire. I also have a place that will put all 4 tires on for $50 as well, so that brings the total to $176.50 per tire from what would be close to $240-$250. There is also a deal going on now at checkout, enter the code found on the homepage and save an additional $25 on orders of $250 or more.

I also looked at tires for my B (185/70/R14), and they ranged from $31.00-$80.00, all brands. Warranties as well for non A/T tires. Has anyone else ever had a good/bad/indifferent experience with them? I purchased my truck tires today and will have them by Friday, I will repost later and let you know how my experience went.

As a comparison to other online tire suppliers, they are about $25 per tire cheaper than tirerack.com and very close on shipping. Hope this may help somebody out there trying to save a few bucks on expensive tires like myself.

Looks interesting, but I searched for some common MGB tire sizes and most of the tires that came up were "all season" utility tires and a few options by companies I had never heard of. Not too much in the sport or performance tire models.

I'm new to the "tire debate" that usually goes on here, so I don't know a whole lot about any other sizes than the one that i mentioned above for my B, but maybe for your other vehicles this could be a viable option. I was impressed by someone who answered the phone immediately and the 2 days shipping as well. LOTS of choices for newer vehicles.

I went onto the web site, but I didn't see any prices , although I didn't sign in. My son is looking for 235/75/15 for his pickup.I think he as looking at Goodyear Wranglers.

John,

At the top of their home page, on the drop down list, select:
first box: Tires
second box: By Tire Size
third box: Select Width (235)
fourth box: Select Aspect Ratio (75)
last box: Select Rim size

They have an entire page of options, including several from Goodyear Wrangler, starting at $49.00 for a no name all the way up to $155.00. You do not have to sign in to view the prices. BTW, I have no affiliation to this, however, I was impressed by their selection (in some vehicles). Just make sure you navigate using the top drop down menus and if you have questions (read: skepticism) like I did, use their toll free number. I hope this helps.

Well, the verdict is in. I ordered the tires Tuesday. They were shipped via UPS on Wednesday with a tracking number and were delivered as promised on Friday afternoon. They were the correct size and in great shape. For tires, shipping and install ($560, $106 and $50) I paid a total of $716. My cheapest bid was from Sam's for the same tires and install was about $1,020. I'm sold.

It's good to have multiple (dependable!) vendors on these things. Good info, and thanks.

You just saved me $80! Thanks! The wife's MINI needs new rubber. I'm tempted to get some non-run-flats and a repair kit. The OEM's ride like there's no tire there and the things are >$300 each. They don't last long either.

My friend bought non-run-flats for his Mini and joked about being able to pay for AAA for years with the savings.
