Top and frame question

Ok I know this was discussed recently but i can't find in a search

The top from a fixed later frame will work with a stowable frame but not the reverse.

Correct or not???

I don't believe that they are interchangeable, but it could depend on the top manufacturer.

Like Jack, I do not believe they are interchangeable; but someone who has an early car is sure to know

Tops for folding bows will not work on packaway bows - or vice versa...the bows that come apart & go in the trunk are a little taller than the folding bows.

Tony someone on here modified a frame to work with the later zip out window top. Seems like he cut and shortend the tube at the bottom mount You would still have to come up with some type of snap or velcro fastening on the flap that is glued in the later tops.

Bill - as inexpensive as tops are, I don't know why anybody would ant to ruin a good set of bows with that DPO fix - but you're right, somebody did.
