As many of you know, I'm the guy that stockpiled all the old Vandervell bearings for MG, TR, Jag, and Austin. I have them but they're not cheap. On occasion, I have new tri-metal bearings made that are less expensive or that fill a void in inventory. In the past, I've had them made for MGB, Big Healy, and 4.2L Jag. They've been used by Kent Prather, Steve Ellis, Joe Huffaker, Bill Terry... all the big race engine builders. Today I received my latest shipment - main bearings in .010" and .020" for MGA 1622 and tri-metal main bearings for MGA Twincam, that will go right into a 1500 or 1600 (also in .010" and .020"). The 1500 and 1600 cars weren't delivered from the factory with the good tri-metal bearings - only the 1622 and twincam were - but trimetals were always available as a special tuning part. If you need them now or want to put some on the shelf, let me know. I also have non-Vandervell tri-metal rod bearings in standard, .010" and .020" if you're interested. Of course, I still have real Vandervells in all applications and sizes - they're just more expensive. I don't post prices here so if you're interested, PM, email or call. Thanks.

do you have a shop?
12 miles from "Infineon" puts you in Sonoma, Petaluma, San Rafael, even American Canyon or thereabouts.

Mac,
Yes and no. I'm a college professor. But I own a ranch near Petaluma and I have a 3000 square foot shop building for the cars. I have a friend in Fairfield that has a small shop that just works on British and Italian cars - mostly racecars. If you're looking for someone good, he might be a resource. PM me if interested. Basil,
What do you have for MGB's in stock? Cost and sizes?
Thanks,
Sean
