Larry;
Depends what condition the body is in. You will find that there is a nut and a small bolt on each section of trim. You must remove the nut from the inside. You now can side the trim off, note!! that this will hurt the paint. Not a problem if repainting.
The trim is attached by little metal donuts that are rivited to the body panels. When installing new trim you just slip the upper edge over, and push down and in, and the trim will snap neatly into place. Removal is the reverse, but you may find things all corroded up or stuck with a PO paint job. The new trim kits are very modestly priced, and include all new fastenings, even the rivits.
Good luck. David

On reinstall I found that the molding was just a bit wide and wouldn't 'clip'. If this happens, wrap some elect tape around the jaws of your vice grips and gently squeeze the molding. Use the vice grips as a stop to control the amount of compression so you don't over tighten or smash.

Take off the front and rear clips with nuts from the insides of the fender. Much of the time, you can just pull the moldings forward toward the front or rear of the car and they will slide off.

If not, you'll need to do some gentle prying to pop the stuck ones off. Fairly easy.
