Flew to Tampa from Lubbock Tx and picked up the 94 Mustang GT vert I bought off E-Bay for my wife. Car was better than advertised and I drove it to Okeechobee to spend a few days with one of my sisters and do some minor things...new 245/45 VR 17 tires, new ignition tubler and keys as old one was a bit loose. Rewired the stereo as it wouldn't hold memory...had both hot wires to keyed hot?? Anyhow..car is beautiful and early friday morning trekked to the North part of Orlando and picked up my navigator pal and we headed out. Overnited in the sprawling metropolis of Bunkie La...on scenic I-49 that conects I-10 and I-20. Stayed at a cool 100 year old hotel and the next morning headed back out. Arrived back in New Mexico at about 8pm that evening. Used 71 gallons of gas, did about 73-74mph all the way using the a/c most of the way. Didn't use a drop of anything except gas. And the best part is the wife loves it. We sold her bug vert the nite before I flew out to get the Mustang...and today a guy wants her 95 Rodeo so guess I'll go get her an 04 bright red 4wd. Durango we found here in town. Needs that thing for work and hauling grandkids.

Since my wife hasn't beaten me up or done any strange things...I decided since iI'm on a car buying spree I'd replace her aging, squeaky old 95 Rodeo. Its a good vehicle but we have four grand-kids and I feel safer with them in this...its an 04 Durango, 4.7 V-8...not the gas crazy Hemi...4wd, loaded. Saw it, made a cash offer and was driving away in 15 minutes. When you cut out the finance guy...things go fast. Here it is.

Hmm... Uncle Jack, there's a MGA Coupe and an MGC-GT I'd like to have while your wallet is feeling too heavy! LOL

About every other person asks if I'll adopt them...then I tell them I need help with remodeling the house, building a big deck with a hot tub, finishing about ten project cars...they decide then that they'd rather live in a packing crate and not work. What a suprise. Only people I can get work out of are seasoned citizens....imagine that.
