Very rough for the price, but I haven't seen one of these before. So kind of interesting.

Its a shame it is so far gone; this is my favorite Triumph. Basically a TR4A with a TR6 engine, made for 1 year because the new TR6 body wasn't ready in time.
That one looks pretty near beyond salvation to me.
I've a friend who has one. Commision #1. It was rougher that that and he was going to junk it until he noticed that it was #1, so he decided to go the extra mile(s) and save it. Other than engine machining, he did it all in his double garage.
Always wanted that year and model. Looks like to far gone.
This is a friend of mines. I did the body & paint. Probably just as bad and we used parts from a lot of cars. Rare car if it's for real. Hope someone saves this one too.

i've been looking for a new project, the tr250 is my favorite triumph, but that one is too far gone :(
Jim, You must be a real artist!! Wish I knew how to easily get cars between Dallas, and PA.
Thanks Jimmy. The owner, Ed, is a very good friend of mine. He actually helped a bit on the final block sandings. Ed owns a printing plant and spends a lot of time at a desk. When he came on Saturdays to work on the car it was like a day at an amusement park for him. Amazing, all the years I've done this stuff, I hardly find it entertaining anymore! :) Car came out much more than he was looking for. I do tend to get a little obsesive compulsive. He's got a lot of firsts with it. I love those American Racing wheels he got for it.
BTW, I'll have to get a photo of the engine next time. Has the compression bumped up & some sort of cam. Plus...You will like this...TRIPPLE HS6s!! He started out with a tripple Weber setup but never could get them dialed in. Runs sweet now.
I love the 4's and 250s, they're really pretty cars.
I almost bought one until I noticed the bondo, chicken wire and newspaper, not to mention the ground-off seams.
One of the best TR250s on the planet is for sale on e-bay (ending in 4 hours) and here in Virginia at this website.
