I wonder where he put his cahunas in that suit. They must be the size of basketballs.
Good thing he was in Europe. In canada he would have gone about 100 yds before
hitting a pothole or some rock on the road.

Nah, a real man would do that "nekkid" (That's when you're naked and up to something!)

I've heard of being where the rubber meets the road, but that is ridiculous...Of course, I think even I could skate with that many wheels on!

Years ago, in the 1970s, I used to teach in Hemet, CA. which was at the base of Mt. Jacinto. The road up to Idyllwild (a resort town up on top) was not unlike that in this video, only not so picturesque. Kids from the High School I worked at used to "Luge" down that mountain on their skate boards by lying down on their backs and feet first. I had only heard of this from some of my students until one day when returning from Idyllwild to Hemet, I ran into a foursome of these kids all going hell bent for leather down this road ~ no helmets, no leathers, nothing like the guy in the video. Yet none of them crashed or rolled or had an accident. But I did follow behind them, sort of like a flagging vehicle to try to protect them a bit from traffic, and they could hit around 45 mph or a little better (by my speedo). That too must have been a rush for these kids. I don't know if they were stoned or just ballsy, but I'd not seen anything like that since until this video landed in my email box this morning.

That was shot in the Swiss Alps. Here's another one that shows more detail of that crazy man's wheels and gear. Lots of him on youtube.

When I was in the Army in Germany, a friend and I took leave in Italy and drove down there via the Alps. If you look at the curves and the concrete blocks/barriers on the outside edges, those are an improvement since I was there 40 yrs ago. Back then, there were either just big rocks placed about the same or nothing at all. The concept of guard rails as we know them did not seem to exist except in probably what they considered the most dangerous areas. The pavement was good like in the video, even then, but we came to realize that the European mandate for safety was simply that if you went off the road, you were probably doing something stupid anyway. That may not be true, but one did need to pay more attention in places like these.

No, but I have done 60+ on my Cannondale.

The new longboard skate boards are very stable at higher speeds.
