I have a 67 rdstr., converted to neg grnd,& alternator. My question is, if the indicator lamp on the dash is bad will the circuit for that side not work? I've replace the flasher unit (3 prong) the turn signal switch and all bulbs. The right side works normally but nothing on the left. When I supply power via the battery the the left side wires under the dash the front and rear indicator lights work fine.
My voltage stabilizer is grounded but is only wired to the fuel gauge. Do I have an electical 'sneak' current? Thanks in advance, any input would be of great help!!

How did you wire the flasher? Stock flashers for the turn signals have two prongs, one for incoming power (green wire), and one for outgoing power (lightgreen/brown wire) to the turn signal switch.

Drop by http://www.advanceautowire.com and click on stock schematics on left side of the page to grab a copy of the wiring diagrams for MGs.

Look on page 2 of the pdf for the 64-67 Bs. You might want to click the enlarge button a few times. The diagram shows a 3 connector flasher. Verify that you have *All* of the wires connected correctly. Also, be sure the switch has a good ground.

Check the lamp sockets and clean them up if you find any corrosion. Finally, be sure the lamps (front and back) have a good ground.

Let us know what you find.

On my 73 the flasher and turn signals will work with a burned out or inoperative indicator bulb. I had a bad ground on the indcator and all (except it) worked as designed. My wiring diagram showed them wired parallel with the rest of the circuit.

I thought that the voltage stabilizer also powered the temperature gauge on all years. Double check that is true for your year.

Cleaned all bulb sockets, tried wiring in both 2 prong and 3 prong flashers still the same dilema. right side works fine nothing on the left. I reversed the wires at the turn indicator switch and the left side works but not the right! This is really frustrating.

The internal contacts in the turn signal switch are not making contact.
