Hello all,
When I bought my MGB new in 1979 it had a baby blue oil filter installed.
I always wished that I would have kept it.
Well, I finally found a NOS one!
I am thinking of painting my new Unipart oil filters to match this color so that I can go back to the original look.
Anyone have any idea what color paint this is?
Can I get this paint in a spray can?
Thanks,
Ray

Wow, that brings back memories. I remember that pretty blue filter from when I bought my MGB in 1980. It would be cool to match the color.
Take it to your local paint shop and they should be able to scan it for you and put that color into a rattle can if you want.
Looks really close to a Ford Blue....as well as the "Blue Flame" Chevy 6-cylinder engines!
Hadn't thought of some of the old Ford colors, good idea Rick
Super engine compartment!!!!!!! Did you take that picture before you drove off the showroom floor?:drinking:
Really nice engine compartment Ray......!!!!!!

Bringing back some memories?!
Geez - that engine bay looks better than Kelvin's "30 mile" LE...
Clipper Blue. Krylon has a spray paint called Bonnet Blue that comes pretty close.
Really nice engine compartment Ray......!!!!!!

Thanks for the compliments and quick responses!
I will look into the Krylon Bonnet Blue.
Do I need to use a high temp paint?

Yo Rick.....I thought I was doing good using original white Unipart filters...Ray raised the bar on that one...........
