Building on Hap's previous post about this movie, it looks like they are looking for donations to do a more professional production, which would certainly be good for the sport. Below is a link to the new info. I have no affiliation, etc., just had this passed on to me...

The kickstarter support idea is good, but then so would be something like a website, even if it's a Cafe Press type site, where folks could buy VRT hats, T shirt, decals, and such.
Think about how cool would be a VRT T shirt be, with some clever logo, like this,
"Vintage Racing Where Being Older Is An Unfair Advantage"
"Vintage Racing, Where The Beer Is Better And The Cars Are Cooler"
"Vintage Racing Where The Good Ole Days Are Right Now"
If marketed right, a VRT sticker could be on the back of every vintage race car in America in next few years.
Just supported the movie and I'm getting the really groovy decal for my MGB-GT. What I have already seen in the trailer so far was worth the contribution I made! I'm like a lotta guys here, I have to save my pennies to buy fresh plugs. But still, supporting this project and indeed MGE is the least I can do for all the benefits I receive. Now Skye, where's that really groovy MGE decal?
Done!
Congratulations! You are now an official backer of Help Save Vintage Racing. Vintage Racing Today the Movie.
Burt Levy's books are published in a similar way. You can buy an ad that is then displayed in the center section of the book.
Guys, it took this kickstarter campaign that I am doing for my movie to find this great site. I am an MG enthusiast. I had a 1970 MGB, and I am restoring a 1958 MGA. My real job is a director at a non profit youth outreach center in Nashville. One of the programs there is called Gearheads. I teach kids how to build and race go karts but we also have two 1978 MGB's. One we are fixing and one we are parting out and teaching the kids how to market on Ebay. Here is a small video we made. We also have more videos of us enjoying our MGs on zapatateam on youtube.

Hap, I love those T-shirt ideas. Can I steal them? Are you going to VDCA Road Atlanta. Can I interview you? We are designing a line of merchandise for the website. It should be launched in the next month. I have attached a design. I am a less is more design person. I hope you enjoy.
Who runs this great website? On my dashboard for kickstarter it tells me how many backers I have from this site. If this site brings %10 of what we are trying to raise we will make the website a sponsor.
Thank you guys for supporting this project.
Skye is our webmaster here, and yes he's did a great job at making this place for us, gearheads, to come hang out.
Ben what you are doing with those kids is nothing short of great man (tu)
Ben you're doing a gret job with the film, making all of us vintage racers very proud, wish I had more to give you man,and will trey to re-pledge as I can.
Ben, sure you can use those t shirt ideas, opening a Cafe Press might not be a bad idea, no inventory investment on your part, people just order what they want, and you make a small profit, I mark my Acme Speed Shop CP items up around $5 a item, you may could mark up your itmes more as understanding the profit are going to help make the movie, but it a good deal, Cafe Press because you have to buy and invest in inventory. AAS for idea, I sure this crowd would give you plenty of ideas on what to put on a T-shirt that would be cool, that we'd all be proud wearing.
Ben, send me a email, with your t shirt size and address, and I'll give you one of my Acme Speed Shop, Cafe press T shirts, so you see them as for the product, the least I can do for what you are doing for this sport. I could even throw in a couple for the kids.
Ben I really like the Vintage Racing logo! Just as Hap said, what you are doing with the kids is truly great. I've sent your link along to Steve McCarty of ACE magazine, it's a west coast vintage car enthusiast magazine website. http://theacemagazine.com/
Steve's comment was "Cool!" so you might email him direct with info.

The MGA deisgn is FANTASTIC Ben!
Be sure to send a few shirts with David when he picks up his car. I would love to have one and Im sure Kent would too!
Well I met Ben Cissell this weekend at the Mitty, and I can say firsthand I can't think of any better person for vintage racing to trust anymore to make a movie about our sport than Ben, Ben is a first class act, I liked him alot immediately when I met him, he's a good guy. He brought me some stickers and T shirts over later, but I liked him long before he did that :) and I know Jeff gave him a cash contribution right there, Ben wanted my my incar video and also mounted another camera on my car looking backwards for the race, I have all that video as well does Ben. I can't wait to see the finished product, I'm 100% sure Ben will make us all proud, we are in great hands with him (tu)
I'm pretty sure he did that neat three camera video of the MGA Focus Event last year at Lime Rock that I posted in the video section some time ago. So I have high hopes for the movie.
