Hello all!

I was just watching the pilot to the original WKRP in Cincinnati. In the original intro, there is a shot of a dashboard with someone switching stations on the radio. I am wondering if anyone knows the car they used for the intro. It looks like a wood dash and the novice in me thinks a Triumph but I could be showing my complete lack of knowledge here. Any guesses? Here is a link to the the intro on Youtube.

This is what I do in Ohio when the weather is nice and my 76 MGB "Beatrice" is stored away for the winter....

For some reason the link you posted is reversed! This one works correctly, at least for me. The dashboard resembles a Spitfire, but there's something not right about that, either. AL Bradley

I would rather have a screen capture of Bailey Quarters.

Possibly a Midget that somebody has screwed some wood to. (screws above and below the guage on left)

The controls, choke, screenwash pump and heater are certainly the same as BMC cars (late 60s/early 70s?)

All that Baily Quarters reminiscing made me go to Hulu.com and play a couple of old shows. She was the cats meow then and still is!

Thanks James, but that was way too easy, having had a steel dash car in the past.

Loni Anderson to Herb Tarlek " why don't you go to the underground parking lot, find some seat covers you like, and wear them home"

Of all the repeat shows on TV, I don't know why WKRP is never on?

I think it has, but they have to edit the music - royalties - so it just doesn't have the same impact. TV Land ran it in the late 90's, IIRC

I agree on the theme music. It was probably one of the best
opening themes of any that were out there.

Tin Conway has to be one of the best!!! This is one of my favourite clips from the Carol Burnett Show... I love watching the rest of the cast try to keep it together:)

You're right Ken, and completely ad-libbed. Thanks for posting, I've been trying to find this for years.
