Does anyone have the Classic Motorsports magazines with the 1971 Midget in it? I believe the first one came out in Feb. of '03. (issue 103?) I would like all the issues with that particular project in it. thanks.

I assume you checked their website....? They have updates for all of their project cars and links to the appropriate back-issues.....

I didn't see it on ebay, although a few from 2007 are on there.

Actually..I called them on the same subject about a year ago (after I started my subscription)
I bought like 10 back issues..and they made me xerox copies of the articles in the ones they were sold out of..for free!

I bet if you call and ask for xerox copies of the midget articles..they'll do it for you.
Especially if you have a subscription! If you don't subscribe, now would be a good time..they are going to have the 1275 engine build in the next one (or after that)..with a bunch of comparison articles..heads, carbs, etc. Work was done with Anton..should be good reading.
On their website, they Carl said they got >100hp from their 1275..should be a good read!
Its the only magazine subscription I have now!

I'm peeved they never finished the series. What about the engine work dudes?

I'll be dropping my subscription next time it comes up.

You can order just the issues with the project Midget with photocopies of the articles at http://classicmotorsports.net/store/backissues/us/ . I ordered this last year for a friend that collects Midget articles.

I also read on CMS forum that another article is coming soon regarding the engine mods. So it was stalled for a while but is coming back soon.

Zach,
I have some of the Midget issues. The ones I have are;
Issue 104
Project Midget. Everything comes apart in an orderly way.
Issue 108
Chapter 5: detailing bits of trim.
Issue 117
Chapter 11; Restoring our glass and trim.
Issue 122
Chapter 15: brakes and suspension wrap-up.
Issue 126
Chapter 18: Electrical wiring
Issue 132
Chapter 19: Wiring up horns and lights for our MG.

I'll take $1 each for the magazines, but the package will have a 6 lb estimated weight. Shipping by USPS in a $10.30 flat rate priority mailer would probably be the best way to send them. If interested send me a PM.

Stalled? The car has been on the road for how many years?

I guess they have ADD like the rest of us!

Don't worry guys, I'll renew again!
