i don't want to replace the entire transome if i don't have to, but next time i have the gas tank off, i'd like to cut out the bit where the exhaust pipe comes out of the transome and weld in a new bit for where mine is butchered. so, anybody parting out an RB and willing to part with a 4 to 6 inch wide bit of the transom? see picture for what i mean:
are you talking about the bent up part above the tailpipe? I have two rb's that Iwill be parting soon
yes, the bent up part, oh, say 4 or 5 inches either side of the tailpipe. it might be simpler to do the whole part...left seam to right seam...or just cut out that bit. anyway, the part around the tailpipe where mine has been pealed like an orange is what i'm particularly after.
