Hi folks, need your help. I bought a 24-3N battery at Walmart and I can't get it to fit with the stock hold down clamps (angle plate that goes accross one side of battery with 2 j-hooks).
Is this the wrong size battery for this? Is there a smaller size P/N to use?

I am pretty sure you need one that starts with a 23

22NF is what we use IIRC.

So which one is it? I am going to take this one back and get a different one. Does the 22NF fit the the bracket or is it a 23 something?

The factory-specified battery for a rubber-bumper car is a BCI Group 24 (which is what that Walmart battery sounds like). The BCI group numbers are an industry standard and specify the case dimensions but not necessarily case design, so you might want to try a different Group 24. Alan and Allen both have chrome bumper cars and would use a different battery than your RB. (Most people end up using Group 26 in CB cars).

HTH!

Rob, how do I recognize other Group 24 batteries? Is it always part of the #?
thanks
