On my 2.8 V6 I have an aluminum water pump & timing cover. I am thinking about powder coating the pump & timing cover. I was wondering if a water pump, as is can handle 450* F for 20 minutes for the powder to cure?

Any ideas?

You are taking a big chance with the seals, I would not do it. Use ceramic paint.
