I'm restoring my 75 Midget while taking the exhaust pipe out, there is a cable on the right side of the Trans tunnel going to the front, what is this?
What cable is this

no it is not the e-brake cable, this one goes to the fromt

If you mean a heavy cable with piece of metal on the end. That is attached to the body. It is a restaint cable. Attachs to engine or trans can't remember on my 75. If I remember it will act a little too short but it will go. The only thing I can think it is for stopping the engine and trans from moving in a accident. Just a theory.

There is also the emissions tube/pipe that runs through there.
