Hi!
I bought a Rover 3.5 that was originally seated in a Land/Range Rover.
What year and power I don´t know. Maybe You kan identify it for me?
I have a picture of the engine where the webbing is shown.
The engine has a number: 618769 C

There are several site on the web which list engine numbers and applications. I found >5 using a google search for "3.5 rover engine numbers". They didnt seem to match the numbers you provided. I did see that the main differences are compression ratio, etc. which you should be able to determine by measurement.

What kind of power do these 3.5 V8s put down (stock or modded)?

My 3.5 started out in an '80 Rover SD1. Back then book value on hp was 155. Had the car dyno'd a while back and came out to about 175 at the flywheel. Stock rebuild, Edelbrock carb + intake, RV8 headers and 2.5" SS exhaust.

More impressive number was the torque; 190 ft/lbs at 2500 rpm. This is one great motor!
