Flipping thought channels a short while ago and there was a rerun of the Andy Griffin Show. It was the one where Gomer made a citizen's arrest on Barney. In that episode Andy gave the month and year that Barney became a deputy in Mayberry.
Do you know the month and year ?

Don't remember dates, but first time I remember Barney being a deputy, he called Andy his cousin. In later shows he was referred to as la ong time friend.
Don't recall that... remember the episode, but not that comment.
The best part was Barney could only have 1 bullet and had to keep it in his pocket.
I too remember the citizens arrest episode, but can't remember any thing else from that half hour.
too funny Na! I just watched that one last nite too!! I didn't catch the month/year though....

Don't remember the month and year, but I beleive it was the very first episode.
Andy's house keeper left, and Aunt Bee came.
Mayberry comes on right after the 5pm news every day.
I'm an hour away from Mt. Airy, Pilot Mt, etc.
