I kissed a girl and I liked it!
Anyone else on here watch the Grammys? Enjoyed most of it. Big surprise to me was Plant/Krause. Plant mentioned his song was "Nashvilled", when it was actually "Ashevilled". ;)

Ol' Man Plant looked pretty stoned, based on the photo I saw of him and Allison in the paper this morning. The lowlight for me was the Miley Cyrus/Taylor Swift debut. I don't think Miley was in the right key once the whole song.
Who am I kidding - I went to bed early and heard all this from my daughters.

Not much Jazz or Classical coverage, so not much to interest me, but I love music enough to at least try to listen to everything. After 40 plus years of listening to Pop music that sounds more and more like the same thing recycled, it just doesn't do much for me. I watched a while, and the part I saw actually was the "Kissed the Girl..." song, as well as some other stuff. It ocurred to me that the song could have been written last week or 40 years ago. Just a repetitive Rock song with forgettable content.

Rod, I have a shameless pop recommendation for you! By a gal called Lily Allen, a Londoner, daughter of semi-famous UK actor Keith Allen. I normally like my rock/indie, but this is the best tune I've heard in a long time:
