call Roger Parker or e mail him it is cheaper and he will help. If he is not avail, Jonathan Kimber will also jump in and help. The 1 2 3 needs a EMC (engine management computer) I think. E mail those gents at the MGOC.

I've gone through this with unsatisfactory results.
Love the distributor! Hate the solution for the tach problem. Don't bother sending in a MK1 to any of the shops that say they can make this work. They change the guts and keep the old face and needle. The needle is too heavy and it makes the tach bounce, not a good solution.
I'm looking into changing both the tach and speedo (Ford T-9 5-speed conversion has made the old speedo useless)
