White Lettering on Tires?

I saw recently a post where there was a picture of an awesome B that we all liked the color combo (mettalic grey with navy interior and console/dash). The pictures showed some Goodyear tires that had the raised white lettering for the name Goodyear on the tire sidewall. I thought those looked great so I searched on tirereack.com and couldn't locate them.

I'm looking for a good performing, all season tire that has the raised white lettering in stock size (185/70/14).

I know the recommendations (Yokohama's, Summitomo's, Dunlop's and such from previous threads), so in this case, a specific question.... does Goodyear make a good all season tire with raised white lettering in the stock size?

It's a timely question since the B is to get new tires this week. The car is in the shop right now for an inspection.

Looks like you may have to do what we did back in the day.... get a tire marking crayon or paint and color the lettering to make them look like race tires.

Goodyear doesnt seem to offer RWL (raised white letter) tires in our size anymore, nor does Coker Tire. You may have better luck in larger sizes.

no performance tires will have the white lettering, just the crappy old BF Goodrich TA radials, the worst tire I have ever owned

I guess it was a pipe dream. I've tried searching all over for them, to no avail.

You can buy pens to color the lettering on your tires. Check with your local auto parts stores. There are many colors available (the tuner guys like to do this with their rice-burners) and I've seen them in white before.

Double on what everyone above has said. I checked around a few months ago and there was on RWL available but the smallest size was a 205 and the price was horrible because they had to be special ordered. I believe they were made by Cooper Tire but they were hard to even get info about. Most of the ones in the photos are on cars being restored and the tires are a few years older.

White letter tires belong on muscle cars.

Aww James I think it depends on the wheel you are running. I personally didn't want to put them on with Rostyle wheels but rather some other aluminum wheels. Personal preference and all ya know!
