Glass beaded one of my wheels and the bare metal looks good. Just wondering how it would be to spray them with hi-temp clear? Does the clear fade quickly or will it last?

I have found that the clear does tend to yellow. I have restored 6 cycles and I typically use a dupli-color engine paint that is silver to match the original Honda cycle engines. To add protection I then sprayed dupli-color engine clear and I have noticed yellowing over time. Of course the wire wheels won't heat up much so I personally see no need for high-temp paint.
I had my wire wheels powder coated after media blasting. You can get clear powder coating if you really like the 'bare' look.
I also suggest silver paint. The Moss "hammered silver" they sell for wires looks nice.
Yeah, I've thought about silver. Also black and then what ever color I paint the car. Decisions decisions. Thanks guys..
Colors also look sweet. Cannot recall the handle here, but there are a couple owners, including Magnettes, that have black rims... look sweet.
