I just purchased a 79 Spitfire,PO removed the Electronic Dist and replaced it with a points type. Today I installed an Electronic Dist.Now I need to know which wire goes where.Any help.I know this is the MG website,but I can't get on the Triumph web site.Thanks for any info you can give.
do you know the brand /brands of dist youre needing info on???

I have a Lucus Dist from a 1977 MGB with electronic pick-up(no points) also The Spit has a CEI box mounted next to the clutch/brake box. There are two white wires coming from the CEI box (been cut off) do they go to the dist or ?Where do they hook up?

your are putting a 77 mgb dist in the spit???
you didnt say what brand/manuf electronic ign was installed the mgb dist!!!
a pertronics brand just needs two wires connected and a ground from movable plate to dist body...
i really cant help you !!!~
i back dated my 76 b to pertronics and threw every bit of the bloke crap away.
