Well, my long saga of oveflowing HS4's continues. The only way I can keep the carbs from overflowing is to use two of the stock copper washers in each float cover between the needle and seat and the cover. With just one the rear float overflows even though both floats measure 1/4" gap between the cover and the float.
With two washers in the rear carb it doesn't overflow. Unfortunately, the front cover is buggered and there isn't enough thread in the hole where the seat threads into to use two washers. I can only get the threads to grab with one washer. And then the front float overflows...! So I need a better front float cover that has lot's of thread.
I won a new pair on ebay, but after nine days I still haven't heard form the seller whether he's sent them or not. He definitley got paid, though!
So does anyone locally have a front HS4 cover with the overflow spout and feed to the rear carb?
Would any Vancouverites have an extra front float cover?

Hi Ron
Cannot help you with a float bowl cover. But a thought and a question, what fuel pump are you running and what fuel pressure?
Cheers Ric

Fuel pump pressure tests 2.9 lbs. It's an ecco that octagon used to sell as a cheaper option.
