I've almost lost my wedding ring a few times recently because it's now too large. Apparently finger fat accounted for some of the 32 pounds I've lost since my little heart attack/triple bypass/diabetes diagnosis earlier this year caused me to change my diet.
So....it was off to the mall today to get the ring resized. Unfortunately that didn't prove to be easy. My ring is a little odd. It's sorta square instead of round. Two places said they couldn't do it. One place offered to slice it into 4 sections to reduce it - at a cost of $150 or so. No thanks. Besides, I didn't want the ring hacked up in case I get fat again.
Back to the garage...and out with the tubes of the quick setting version of JB Weld. Put a layer of it one side of the ring. On the inside, of course - I'm not a complete idiot.
Now it fit's perfectly!!! And I liked the cost :D

Cool. Sort of like when your High School steady wore your class ring and had to wrap the backside with angora or something like that.

Yeah.....we used electrical tape around here :) That was my first thought, but I wanted something a little more permanent - and less messy...

Shoulda gone with the angora, Joe - pink maybe.
By the way, I know where you can find some of those 32 pounds - right behind me!

The gals around here used to drip hot candle wax into the inside of the HS ring tops behind the stone and build it up to fit their finger :D
